Job Summary
The Dalhousie Department of Diagnostic Radiology is committed to pursuing excellence in education, serving and engaging society and research, all while fostering a supportive and collegial environment. Reporting to the Education Leader, the Subspecialty Residency and Fellowship Coordinator is responsible for administering the Department of Diagnostic Radiology’s subspecialty residency programs and fellowships for Halifax-based residents and fellows, off-service elective residents, and elective students.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the Department of Diagnostic Radiology’s sub-specialty postgraduate teaching programs. This includes maintaining records, supporting committee and sub-committee meetings, fielding all inquiries related to these programs and supporting accreditation.

Administer the application process for sub-specialty residents, including: drafting recruitment notices, creating online application forms, receive and review completed application forms to determine suitability, produce a list of suitable candidates, coordinate candidate interviews and schedule faculty interviewers, distribute offer letters to successful candidates.

Schedule clinical rotation and academic experiences in Pediatric Radiology and Neuroradiology for Postgraduate and Undergraduate learners. Prepare, coordinate, revise when necessary, and distribute a variety of schedules to program directors, program assistants, faculty, staff, residents, etc.

Support the Department of Diagnostic Radiology’s Fellowship Programs. Act as the principal contact and primary resource for the Department of Diagnostic Radiology’s fellowship programs.

Assist in the coordination and on-site support of various educational events including: In-House Career Night for medical students, visiting professor lectures, year-end celebrations, Medical Education events, Journal Clubs etc.
Note
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Required Qualifications

Business/Administrative Professional program with approximately five years’ related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher).
-
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple overlapping deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Undergraduate degree in a related field.
