**The ****__ ****successful ****__ ****candidate ****__ ****will:
- Have University qualifications and successful teaching experience in teaching the above-listed subject areas at a secondary level
- Have current knowledge and an ability to support students with behavioural, emotional and career needs
- Have knowledge of BC Graduation Program, post-secondary entrance requirements and an ability to guide students with their education and career planning
- Have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school, parents and community personnel.
- Have demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with children and youth.
- Have an ability to provide intervention, prevention and mediation services to students through individual, group, and class work
- Be committed to and practice the philosophy of Inclusion
- Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas
- Have training and expertise in threat and risk assessment and critical incident and crisis response.
- Have a commitment to work towards achieving the goals of the School Growth Plan
- Foster a safe and caring student-centred environment
- Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team. Including School Based Team and attend meetings as required
- Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison

**SALARY: ** The starting annual salary for full-time teaching position ranges from $66,538 to $116,870, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,500 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance (Effective July 1, 2026) .
