About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking for a Machinist to bring their expertise to our team, embodying our core values. Candidates must perform sawing, filing, tapping, drilling, turning, milling, threading on a lathe, and grinding accurately and in accordance with the drawings, under the conditions, criteria, and specifications required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and check using measuring instruments and testing devices.
  • Perform manual bench machining operations such as sawing, filing, drilling, grinding, tapping, threading, reaming, and installing fasteners.
  • Perform cylindrical, external and internal conical turning operations as well as external and internal threading.
  • Perform parallel, perpendicular, angular, circular, and shape milling operations.
  • Perform flat and cylindrical grinding operations.
  • Produce simple and complex parts on a numerically controlled lathe.
  • Perform complex milling operations on a CNC milling machine.
  • Identify the preventive maintenance needs of machine tools.

Skills and qualifications

  • Academic and professional qualifications: Diploma in machining techniques or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with CAE's precision standards.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules, including WHMIS.
  • Experience in digital control required
  • Bilingualism (French-English) in both spoken and written forms is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer's site and for technical documentation.
