The City of White Rock is a unique, ocean-side community of 22,000 citizens located half an hour south of Vancouver on the shore of Semiahmoo Bay and is known for its sunny weather, expansive beach, historic pier, delightful restaurants, and sense of community.

Overview The White Rock RCMP Detachment seeks a Police Records Clerk to join their team. This position provides clerical support to the Detachment and includes the following duties:

  • Accurately review and score police files & updating CPIC and MNI entries

  • Provide Front Counter relief coverage: answering calls from the public and preparing non- emergency police files

  • Complete daily review of files for quality assurance

  • Query and maintain operational records

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment

The incumbent will be responsible for creating files and maintaining and producing statistical information from monthly bulk files. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong prioritization skills, and have excellent customer service skills to use with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12, current RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance plus related experience; preferably in an RCMP Detachment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of methodology and procedures related to PRIME RMS 8.1, CPIC and MNI

  • Comprehension of Canadian Criminal Codes and applying UCR Scoring procedures

  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs and current office administration practices

  • Ability to review police occurrence reports and select the appropriate UCR scoring

  • Knowledge of TSMIT software

  • Familiar with Federal, Provincial and Municipal Policies, Rules/Regulations & Bylaws

  • Effective communication skills – verbal, written, listening

  • Ability to prepare, maintain and organize records, files, reports, and statistical reports

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality when reviewing highly sensitive information.

  • Effective time management skills

  • Bring a “can do” attitude to the team

  • Ability to obtain/maintain RCMP Enhanced Security Reliability Clearance status
