Hours: Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in an atypical schedule across early mornings, mornings, days, evenings and late nights.

Job Duties

  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of the Monthly Business Review for Canadian operations.

  • Produce and interpret full profit and loss results, delivering insights on performance drivers and variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods.

  • Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities across sales, purchasing, operating costs, and operational efficiency.

  • Partner with finance, sales, operations, and supply chain teams to validate assumptions and ensure accurate reporting.

  • Provide fact‑based recommendations to support leadership decision‑making on financial and operational matters.

  • Deliver Used Lead-Acid Batteries (“ULAB”) specific Monthly Business Review analysis and assess ULAB profitability, sourcing volumes, pricing, freight, logistics, and market conditions.

  • Develop and maintain financial and operational models to support ULAB purchasing, pricing, logistics, and market participation decisions.

  • Analyze revenue, gross margin, customer profitability, product mix, operating expenses, and departmental cost drivers.

  • Support forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimization.

  • Evaluate supply chain and operational performance, including procurement, logistics, inventory, labor productivity, and resource allocation to support efficiency and working‑capital improvements.

  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytical tools, ensuring consistent, accurate, and transparent reporting.

  • Advise senior leadership and global stakeholders, supporting strategic, commercial, supply chain, and operational initiatives through data‑driven analysis.

  • May complete other duties as assigned.

Employment Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum three years of progressive experience in financial analysis, commercial analysis, supply chain analytics, or strategy.

  • Experience supporting executive leadership and senior decision making in a multinational or international organizations is an asset.

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools is an asset.

  • Experience in commodities, recycling, manufacturing, or industrial supply chains is an asset.

Language of Work

  • English language ability.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.

  • Advanced financial and operational analysis capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of profit and loss structures, cost drivers, and operational economics across complex organizations

  • Ability to synthesize financial, operational, and market data into executive level insights for senior leadership.

  • Strong judgment and business acumen.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Wage

  • $92,000 per year.
