Nash Jewellers is a high-end retail jewellery store requiring a professional, customer-focused security presence. Guards are responsible for maintaining a visible deterrent, protecting staff, customers, and high-value merchandise, and monitoring for theft or suspicious activity. Security services are preventative and service-oriented, with an emphasis on discretion, professionalism, and strong communication with store management.
Position: Full Time Security Guard
Site Name: Nash Jewellers
Hours: Tuesday - Friday (09:30 - 17:30hrs), Saturday (09:30 - 16:00hrs)
Pay Rate: $22.28/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA)
Posting Date: February 4th, 2026
Internal Closing Date: February 11th, 2026
External Closing Date: February 28th, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security risks
- Provide a visible security presence within the store
- Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances
- Enforce store security policies and procedures
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required
- Maintain accurate incident and daily activity reports
- Liaise with management and law enforcement when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security awareness
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification
- 2 years of retail security experience is preferred
- Use of Force and MOAB in person training is required
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in stressful situations
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
