UNIFIED AND NETWORK COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER - REMOTE

As the Manager, Unified and Network Communications you will guide the effective operational support of the Unified Communications and Network systems. You will lead the management of connectivity, network performance, network software configurations, distribution of patches/firmware and software releases, and network and system troubleshooting.

Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Managing support and technical leadership of IT infrastructure environment including telecommunications, contact center systems, collaboration tools, faxing services networks, and Cloud services.

  • Maintaining the security and availability of a 24/7 mission critical infrastructure in a heavily geographically dispersed environment.

  • Overseeing the continuous patching and update lifecycle for the infrastructure assets in the environment.

  • Leading integrations of various security and data protection technologies and controls focusing on solutions to mitigate risk.

  • Defining system and service configurations, installation and support strategies of system components for both site and enterprise levels, for implementation and maintenance support.

  • Initiating and steering research on emerging infrastructure and Cloud technologies, providing sound recommendations based on cost effectiveness and infrastructure agility.

  • Managing budgetary responsibilities for operations resources, components and projects including networking, telecommunications and contact center platforms.

  • Focusing on the business strategic plan to establish constructive department/team requirements and translating them into IT deliverables.

  • Establishing and leading KPI’s and service levels to ensure continuous positive client experience while adjusting based on operational trends, needs and IT environments.

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of relevant ITIL processes.

  • Building, driving and sustaining an engaged, high-performance team to implement the business strategy, through employee development, performance management, coaching, succession planning and team effectiveness to drive accountability and favourable outcomes.

The value you bring

  • Proven experience directly working with cloud technology

  • Prior experience leading a team

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Excellent understanding of typical on-premises and Cloud multi-tier architectures and services: web servers, application servers, database servers, load balancers, and storage and DR
