Job Description
The Department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Molecular Genetics at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start date of July 1, 2024.
Responsibilities
- Develop an independent, innovative research program in Molecular Genetics.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Molecular Genetics and related fields.
- Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
- Contribute to the academic life of the department and the university.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in Molecular Genetics or a related field.
- A strong record of research and publication in Molecular Genetics.
- Evidence of teaching excellence at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral experience.
- Experience in interdisciplinary research.
- Ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in service to the university and the profession, and to contribute to the development of a diverse and inclusive academic community.
