Wesdome Gold Mines has had over 30 years of continuous gold mining operations in Canada. The Company is 100% Canadian focused with a pipeline of projects in various stages of development. The Company’s strategy is to build Canada’s next intermediate gold producer, producing 200,000+ ounces from two mines in Ontario and Quebec. The Eagle River Complex in Wawa, Ontario is currently producing gold from the Eagle River Underground Mine. The Kiena Complex in Val d’Or, Quebec is a fully permitted former mine with a 930-metre shaft and 2,000 tonne-per-day mill. The Company trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “WDO”.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a Database Manager for the Eagle River Complex. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Geology and work collaboratively with the Chief Geologist and Exploration Managers at site to ensure integrity, organization, and reliability of geological and exploration data for both underground and surface operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES PERFORMED

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain the underground and surface exploration databases for the Eagle River properties.

  • Design and implement standard operating procedures for the capture, validation, organization and reporting of analytical results from new and ongoing exploration programs, including drill hole, geochemical, metallurgical, geotechnical, and related datasets.

  • Review, monitor, and maintain Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures for exploration data.

  • Apply knowledge of a broad range of gold and multi-element analytical methods across various sample types.

  • Collaborate with both Exploration and Operations teams in underground mine and surface exploration environments.

  • Provide guidance and technical support to project geologists conducting historical compilation. Incorporate historical datasets into the master database, ensuring consistency and data integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geochemical, or another relevant discipline from a recognized university.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in grassroots to advanced exploration, mine operations, or analytical laboratories, combined with at least five years’ experience managing databases.

  • Be in good standing as a P.Geo with a provincial-level Geology/Engineering association, or eligibility for registration.

  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.

  • Proficiency with SQL-based systems (e.g. Geotic), as well as MS Access, Excel, and Word.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Broad interdisciplinary experience, enabling effective collaboration with Exploration and Operations teams.

  • Solid understanding of industry best practices and application of NI 43-101 reporting requirements and standards.

  • Strong working knowledge of data security, including cybersecurity compliance, project/personnel access, distribution, version control, and archival practice/procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams, as well as work independently to complete assignments Ability to work under pressure with a high level of commitment to meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.

SHIFT SCHEDULE

  • Dayshift

  • 12-hour shifts

  • 7 days on 7 days off Field based position at the Eagle River Property
