The Role: Engineer, Platform Engineering

The Team: The TechOps team is responsible for providing high quality Technical Support across a wide suite of products for various Valuations and Risk products. The TechOps team works closely with a highly competent Client Services team and the core project teams to resolve client issues and improve the platform. Our work helps ensure that all products are provided a high-quality service and maintaining client satisfaction. The team is responsible for owning and maintaining our cloud hosted apps.

The Impact: The role is an extremely critical role to help affect positive client experience by virtue of maintaining high availability of business-critical services/applications.

Responsibilities: We are looking for a seasoned TechOps/app Support Engineer who has experience:

The person would require delivering all aspects of production support for various applications along with some of 3rd party vendor products including incident resolution or proactive mitigation, change & problem management; would ensure compliance to all agreed SLAs and requirements

managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure

someone with rich experience in dealing with client site issues

willing to travel to client sites to investigate and resolve the incidents

performing a variety of tasks including coordinating all resources and stakeholders, planning and setting milestones, assigning responsibilities and monitoring, summarizing and communicating progress and status

mentoring and developing junior members of the team

ability to act as SME and ability to independently handle client issues and incident escalations

What We’re Looking For: someone with 7+ years of Application Support/TechOps experience having below skills:

experience in infrastructure provisioning and maintenance using IaC in AWS with strong skills in Terraform.

Maintaining and managing AWS infrastructure with good knowledge of deployments on ECS hosted containers, knowledge of Postgres DB

Operational support for cloud infrastructure including incident response and maintenance.

Candidate needs to be an experienced technical resource with knowledge of Python, PL/SQL, Unix.

Strong understanding of ITIL standards such as incident and problem management.

Ability to understand complex release dependencies and manage them.

Proven ability to automate manual tasks.

Drive and take responsibilities of support and monitoring tools.

Should have exposure to hands-on fault diagnosis, resolution, knowledge sharing and delivery in high pressure client focused environment.

Extensive experience of working on mission critical systems.

Involve and drive RCA for repetitive incidents and provide solutions.

Driving excellent levels of service to business, effective management & technology strategy development and ownership through defined process.

Good knowledge of SDLC, agile methodology, CI/CD and deployment tools like Gitlab, GitHub, ADO.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Keen problem solver with analytical nature and excellent problem-solving skillset.

Be able to work flexible hours including some weekends and possibly public holidays, to meet service level agreements.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to represent complex technical issues/concepts to non-tech stakeholders.
