The Ministry of Parks, Culture & Sport's mission is to contribute to Saskatchewan’s high quality of life, instill pride and enhance economic growth through management of the Saskatchewan provincial parks system; the provision of arts, culture, recreation, sport and tourism opportunities; access to French language services and through stewardship of provincial heritage resources.
The Parks Division inspires all people to conserve, champion and connect with our parks by protecting our natural and wilderness environments, honouring our history and providing memorable recreational, educational and interpretive experiences that enhance people’s lives and maintain our parks as a legacy for present and future generations.
The Parks Division is currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated individual who is a flexible team player for the position of Park Clerk for Moose Mountain Provincial Park within the Park Division.
Reporting to the Park Administrative Supervisor and Park Manager, this position is an integral member of the Park Team and is responsible for:
- carrying out all aspects of reception and administrative duties within the provincial park, including operation of the park office;
- processing all park revenue using our Financial Administration Management System
- support and guidance to management and park staff including coordination and execution of financial and procurement processes;
- analyzing, interpreting and resolving a wide variety of inquiries from internal and external clients; professionally and proficiently; and
- ensuring adherence to applicable Ministry of Parks, Financial Administrative Manual (FAM) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate is expected to:
- have knowledge of a various of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, automated reservation systems, and be familiar with online financial and asset management systems;
- have knowledge of office and administration procedures and protocols, office equipment, handling of cash and basic accounting principles;
- hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence;
- be willing to travel on an occasional basis; and
- be available to work occasional weekends, evenings or statutory holidays.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required for this position is obtained through the completion of an office diploma program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
