Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Yardperson at our Brampton location. Our Brampton location is a fast-paced and team-oriented facility that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Our Yard Person positions are our direct link between our staff and our on-site customers, and are a key requirement in maintaining and developing successful relationships with these customers. Wage: $20.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspects equipment before and after renting.
• Prepares and brings rental equipment from the yard to the customer's truck or delivery truck.
• Washes and greases equipment.
• Stores equipment in appropriate zone or transfers to the shop, if repairs are needed.
• Fills propane tank.
• Checks propane and fuel inventory.
• Explains equipment operation to customers.
• Makes sure that customers fasten equipment securely in their vehicles.
• Keeps work environment clean and safes.
• Checks that all required identification is on rental equipment.

Key Qualifications:

• High School diploma

• Experience in driving lift trucks, an asset

• Knowledge of industrial and construction equipment, an asset

• Customer service oriented

• Teamwork and Collaboration

• Organizational skills
