Job Description Summary The Senior Engineer, Operations analyzes existing operational processes, develops practical solutions, and implements new or improved processes to drive efficiency gains and labor savings. This role leads and manages multiple medium to large‑scale projects of varying complexity and provides technical guidance and support to team members to ensure consistent execution and capability development.

Reporting to: Dir, Business Operations & Analytics

Job Description

  • Lead multiple nation-wide projects from concept to realization leading individuals from multiple departments and disciplines. Determine, develop, recommend and implement solutions of projects after performing significant engineering analyses inclusive of hypotheses validation.
  • Review, develop and partner with technological solution providers to analyze, review and potentially implement enhanced solutions.
  • Provide support and guidance indirectly to Operations Engineer I and Operations Engineer II positions.
  • Provide software application expertise in Warehouse Management System(s), Labor Management System, Transportation Management System, Microsoft Access proficiency, etc.
  • Perform and deploy work measurement techniques including time and motion studies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing processes and embedding best practices across operations.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical and scalable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or General Engineering.
  • At least 3 years engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering medium to large‑scale operational improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate process analysis into executable solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of standing / walking all day within a warehousing environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in process analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong understanding of operational efficiency and labor optimization principles
  • Advanced data‑driven problem‑solving and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to provide coaching and technical guidance to support performance and development
  • Distribution or warehousing experience.
  • Willing to travel occasionally for business purposes (within Canada)

The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position $91,400.00 - $137,000.00 Annual
