About the role
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Quality, the Senior QA Analyst will deliver quality assurance and test automation framework development to ensure that simulation workflows behave correctly, outputs align with business logic, and user journeys reflect real-world operations.
While developing, executing and maintaining test suites/scenarios, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and help drive the development of our proprietary simulation engine.
What you will be doing on a typical day:
- Capture evidence (screenshots, record IDs, timestamps) to support defect reporting
- Document and report issues clearly in Jira/Confluence, with expected vs. actual results
- Work closely with developers and data scientists to ensure outputs are technically correct
- Participate in reviews of acceptance criteria to ensure requirements are testable from a user perspective
- Evaluate and identify test scenarios for test automation & deploy automated tests for integration with our CI build pipeline
- Design, develop, administer, and maintain test infrastructure
- Identify software defects and work with the product team on user acceptance and experience

- Highly analytical, great problem solver and enjoy working with high level thinking teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
We need you to check these boxes for you to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree or formal qualifications from an institute of technology in a STEM related discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3 years’ experience as a QA Analyst
- Experience testing ML and heavy data intensive applications from data ingestion automation to application test execution
It would be even better if you had experience with:
- Hands-on experience validating data-driven or simulation-based applications
- Working proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, and API testing
- Functional experience using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
- Experience with cloud-based platforms, simulation models and engines, Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning development, and SaaS products

Work Remotely
This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week. Stream’s head office is in Calgary, Alberta with remote workers located across the country. We are happy to provide a hybrid work environment, enabling you to work from home or in a virtual location of your choosing. We still encourage a strong collaborative culture and provide workspaces in a variety of locations for team collaboration, design, planning sessions and social activities as available.
