Your Opportunity:
As a team member of the Three Hills Long Term Care, Central Zone, the Unit Clerk will primarily provide assistance to the Continuing Care Manager. Assistance will be required with payroll validation and staff responsibility assignments to meet the changing requirements for the program. The Unit Clerk will be working collaboratively with Continuing Care Manager, and is required to have strong technical skills, critical attention to detail, accuracy, and strong working knowledge of established policies, procedures and collective agreement provisions. As time permits, the Unit Clerk will provide other clerical support, including but not limited to: developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets, completing data extractions, manipulation and reporting; creates forms, templates, presentation materials, and flowcharts; and will coordinate meetings, take minutes and will also track employee staff education. The Unit Clerk may also assist the Continuing Care Manager with postings, processing of HR change requests, and activities associated with staffing changes.
Description:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with scheduling.
