Now Hiring: SaaS System Administrator

This role requires the candidate to administer, support, and implement technical procedures for 3000+ TMX Group accounts for the Google Workspace instance and affiliated SaaS technologies such as LumApps, OKTA, Dmarcian, ServiceNow, and other procedural inter-dependent applications. This is a technical role that requires a good understanding of email message flow in addition to scripting and automation. The candidate will be well versed in the needs of the TMX client base, and communicate effectively to assist them in utilizing the Google Workspace stack for Enterprise success.

In addition the candidate must proactively learn, understand, and educate the client base regarding all updates and features regarding Google Workspace applications. The candidate should be familiar with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and assist setting up GCP Projects for internal applications following best security practices.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for supporting TMX as a whole, both technically and operationally
  • Resolve Google Workspace related incidents tickets and requests from clients
  • Promptly correspond with the Google partner as well as directly with Google regarding escalated tickets
  • Supervise and maintain Google Services and APIs in a balanced state for all TMX companies
  • Understand and operate Google Workspace console as well as Google Apps Manager via Google Cloud Shell
  • Maintain and continuously acquire knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for Google Workspace and affiliate technologies in order to assess potential benefits
  • Help ensure TMX Google Workspace solutions and practices “make sense” from the enterprise IT perspective
  • Assist with system capability planning
  • Find opportunities for improvement across enterprise systems/services, tools and applications and interact directly with team members and users to analyze and define IT requirements and workflows required to implement IT solutions
  • Design and implement automation script to improve system operations, stability and support
  • Identify and recommend process and workflow improvements to improve efficiency, customer experience and/or quality of related technologies and tools
  • Assist in mentoring other technical support staff on Google Workspace standard methodologies
  • Support and assist in training/communications on changes to iterative technology platforms

Must Have(s)

  • 3-5+ years of Google System Administrator experience
  • Google Workspace certification (or almost completed)
  • Works well in a team
  • Strong communications skills
  • Knowledgable of the google ecosystem and how Google interacts with all other applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot major issues and experienced in support of the Google ecosystem
  • Experience in APIs, cloud technology and physical and logical servers

Nice To Have(s)

  • Experience with automation workflows would be an asset
  • Experience in Javascript
  • Experience in migrations from MS Exchange infrastructure to Google
