Are you an experienced Concrete Foreman looking to join an established company where processes and protocols are in place, where the corporate structure allows nimbleness and adaptability.

The Role

Under the direction and guidance of the Concrete Superintendent, the Foreman assumes responsibility for the delivery of all aspects required on the concrete scope of construction projects ensuring work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies while ensuring work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness

Duties Include:

  • Managing the construction, fabrication, and installation of concrete forms in accordance with site specific requirements and job scope.

  • Implement health, safety and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure safety of all workers and protection of public.

  • Manage the installation of heating/hoarding, temporary fencing, guardrails, handrails, and barriers as required.

  • Engaged in weekly safety meetings and daily toolbox talks.

  • Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment is used for all tasks

  • Reading and interpreting Blueprints and instructing workforce.

  • Planning sequences and methods of work.

  • Ensuring work areas are kept clean and free of hazards.

  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and accounted for.

  • Reporting all incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents

  • Reviewing and participating in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.

  • Other tasks and duties as required on the jobsite.

What you Bring

  • Journeyman Carpenter Ticket with minimum of 5 years Journeyman experience and a minimum of 2 years related experience in the capacity of foreman, all relative to concrete scope activities

  • Non ticketed equivalent with proof of hours and experience from a related trade.

  • Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions.

  • Ability to give direction and supervise accordingly

  • Willingness to coach and mentor carpenters, junior carpenters, and apprentices.

  • Ability to create and maintain a team environment

  • Positive attitude to safety.
