Role Description

This is a remote, volunteer role for a GoFundMe Expert and Grant Writer at Planet Watch. The role involves creating, managing, and optimizing GoFundMe campaigns to increase visibility, engagement, and donations for Planet Watch’s climate education initiatives. The individual will research funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and support grant administration processes to ensure timely submissions and accurate reporting. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with organizational leadership to align funding strategies with program needs, drafting persuasive narratives and impact statements, and tracking fundraising performance. The role also includes maintaining organized documentation of funding prospects, grants submitted, and campaign outcomes to support long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong grant-focused skills, including Grant Writing and Proposal Writing, to develop clear, persuasive funding applications. Candidates should possess Grant Administration skills to manage application workflows, deadlines, and reporting requirements. Candidates should possess Fundraising skills to design and oversee GoFundMe campaigns and other online giving initiatives. Experience with non-profit fundraising, digital crowdfunding platforms, or environmental/climate-focused organizations is beneficial.
