The Role

General Labourers execute daily tasks assigned by Foreman safely, correctly and efficiently. General Labourers ensure work complies with job specifications.

• Fast paced and physically demanding work environment
• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
• Ability to operate necessary power tools and hand tools to complete daily tasks
• Work well in a team environment to successfully complete daily tasks
• Work conditions are due to change with the seasons as work is completed outdoors.

A day in the life

• Ensure safety compliance with all activities
• Ensure all quality standards
• Tasks such as grass cutting, trimming, pruning, leaf blowing, garden bed clean up, moving dirt with shovels, raking, etc.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Landscaping experience would be considered an asset
• Operating small and medium-sized Heavy Equipment considered an asset
• Knowledge of general operation and maintenance of Heavy Equipment considered an asset
• Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a G2 or G license

Physical Requirements

• Standing/walking for long periods of time
• Kneeling/crouching throughout the day
• Lifting/carrying up to 50lbs safely
• Working in elements such as full sun/light rain
• Manual dexterity is necessary as this is a manual labour position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
