What’s the opportunity?
In the role of Senior Director, Newcomer and Cultural Client Segment, you are responsible for leading RBC’s strategy, execution and partnerships to serve clients who are new to Canada, enabling their successful financial integration while driving sustainable growth, innovation and market leadership for this priority client segment.
You will position RBC as the financial partner of choice for newcomers through cross-functional leadership, external representation and alignment with the bank’s environment, social and governance (ESG) priorities to deliver on RBC’s commitment to help clients thrive and communities prosper.
You will report to the Vice President of Client Acquisition and Segments.
What will you do?
- Define, own and implement RBC’s newcomer client strategy including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and long-term relationship development.
- Drive measurable business growth from newcomer client portfolios, positively impacting top and bottom line by establishing and monitoring growth targets for acquisition, retention, product adoption and client satisfaction.
- Advocate for and represent newcomer client-related priorities in enterprise planning and capital allocation discussions.
- Lead RBC’s newcomer strategy across all business lines, partnering across enterprise and functions to tailor solutions that meet unique newcomer needs. Strong stakeholdering and relationship building skills are crucial for success.
- Drive innovation across traditional and non-traditional acquisition channels. This includes building partnerships and alliances with strategic centers of influence and service providers.
- Represent RBC in external forums, advancing RBC’s reputation, brand recognition and influence in newcomer and diaspora communities.
- Oversee segment profitability, ensuring financial results and community impact.

- 7+ years relevant experience
- Strategic agility and external orientation to understand industry trends, identify emerging risks and opportunities, build networks and demonstrate thought leadership.
- Inclusive leadership and ability to build trust with, guide and serve expert teams, nurturing a growth mindset and a culture of belonging.
- Client centricity and deep understanding of the industry and key international geographies.
- Ability to collaborate, influence and mobilize teams and leaders while ensuring accountability and impact through strong communication and storytelling.
