About the role

Reporting to the Director of Accounting Services, this position is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and delivery of SIGA’s Accounting Services function. This role supports organizational excellence by strengthening risk mitigation and accountability through effective people leadership, accurate and timely processing of vendor and employee payments, and consistent application of SIGA Finance policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Director, this position supports organization-wide monthly financial reporting activities, provides subject matter expertise to improve finance policies and processes, and provides functional support for enterprise systems impacting financial operations, including Oracle Fusion.

Responsibilities include: Providing effective management and supervision of Accounting Services staff. Ensuring accurate, complete, and timely processing of vendor and employee payments, in accordance with SIGA policies and procedures. Serving as a reference and resource on SIGA Finance policies and processes, and as a contact person for Casino Finance departments. Leading and supporting the management of suppliers in Oracle Fusion. Assisting the Director of Accounting Services to support SIGA-wide financial reporting activities, to provide subject matter expertise for the review and update of policies and procedures, and to provide system analysis, functional expertise, and implementation support for enterprise systems affecting SIGA’s financial operations. Participating in other projects and activities as required ensuring the integrity, accuracy and efficiency of SIGA’s accounting practices

Education:

Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other related field with a major in Accounting.

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.

Work Eligibility?

To be employed with SIGA, you must meet the following criteria:

  • At least 19 years of age
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming Employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor Gaming Authority / Indigenous Gaming Regulators
  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada
