About the role

Company: GDI Services (Canada) LP

Location: Goodyear, Napanee, ON

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Continental shifts: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am

Availability Required: Mon-Sun, days and overnights

Pay Rate: $21.11/hour

Primary Responsibilities

  • Comply with quality systems, legal requirements, and record retention standards
  • Adhere to all plant safety policies
  • Document, compile, and report results for all tire tests
  • Responsible for collecting tires for tire testing
  • Maintain ongoing communication with quality, production, and operations staff regarding process performance and product acceptability
  • Ensure proper housekeeping of the tire test lab and its equipment
  • Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Self-managed and motivated to work in a high-performance environment
  • Willing to work with others and solve problems
  • Willing to work independently and act on their own initiative
  • Demonstrates high integrity in their decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • University or college degree, ranking will be higher for a technical degree
  • Previous technical experience and an aptitude for troubleshooting
  • An understanding of the plant process and product specifications
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computer and organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently and act on one's own initiative in support of team-based objectives
