Background Information
- The role of Senior Business Analyst is to ensure operational excellence by offering oversight across product development and operational execution.
- This role oversees complex business needs into actionable requirements, ensures alignment with policy and architectural standards, and oversees sprint planning, solution prototyping, and implementation validation.
- The Sr. Business Analyst looks for opportunities streamlining product and/or operational processes through analysis, research, cross-functional stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
- The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with and support the Senior Product Manager and be accountable for successful completion of assigned deliverables.
- Engagement with internal and external stakeholders will be a daily activity, to provide guidance, support and subject matter expertise on the Patient Access application.
Must haves:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst
- 7 years of experience with requirements elicitation and analysis techniques, developing use case documentation, business requirements, and business test plans.
- Experience with a wide range of process mapping techniques, documentation tooling (such as Jira, Confluence Wiki or similar tools) and IT Service Management practices and applications (such as Remedy/Helix).
- Knowledge of project delivery practices such as Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and/or SCRUM.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of architecture, systems, APIs and databases.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years' experience supporting implementation and business support for web or mobile based applications for customers
- Identity and Access Management experience an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Document, support, and manage ongoing business and product requirements.
- Identifies and addresses potential challenges or roadblocks promptly to minimize impact on project timelines
- Escalates critical issues when necessary, collaborating with relevant teams to develop and implement effective solution
- Performs business and client requirement analysis in support product development, operational and deployment projects.
- Continuously seeks and identifies opportunities for the improvement of deployment, operational and processes, and procedures.
- Educates clients, stakeholders, and users in the broader health care sector on Patient Access product, policies, key concepts and processes.
- Prepares/maintains system documentation, user guides, process maps, operations documents, and training manuals.
- Provides business and technical content in the assembly of test plans.
- Facilitates and supports business and clinical participation in the execution of test plans.
- Collaborates with the team to ensure a consistent approach to executing work assignments.
- Collaborates with other cross-functional teams in the delivery of tasks/projects.
- Develops and has accountability for workload and tasks for a specific product in collaboration with cross-functional teams across OH.
- Engages in product team discussions and assists with changes led by others in the team.
- Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
- Partners with subject matter experts to understand, elicit and assess their requirements through gathering, clarification, and analysis of business needs.
- Co-ordination/facilitation of user sessions and group meetings, with clear agendas, minutes and follow up.
- Ensures action items are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Performs gap analysis; build business flows of current and future state for resulting solutions.
- Documents roles and responsibilities of related process actors through RACI (Responsible, Action, Consult, Inform) matrix.
- Prioritizes responsibilities independently, able to handle multiple requests and system requirements to meet the organizational goals.
- Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with viable solutions.
- Identifies improvements by leveraging and simplifying processes, minimizing touchpoints, and documenting them.
- Develops business process flows / workflows and frameworks
- Maintains understanding of the product and its policy, procedures and standards, and business domain knowledge for own edification and knowledge sharing with their team, new team members and cross-functional teams
