ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity to develop and evolve the process and reporting for advanced analytics insights that drive client performance, generate consumer insight and contribute to agency growth.

To be successful, the Associate Director, Advanced Analytics collaborates with marketing and data professionals across the agency and clients with a focus on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of performance marketing campaigns. To achieve this, the Associate Director, Advanced Analytics provides analysis beyond the basic, routine reporting that is immediately available from our data platforms (in marketing, digital analytics, CRO, or CRMs). They find patterns, trends, or factors that span channels, campaigns, and audiences.

The successful candidate deeply understands the available technologies for conducting advanced analytics needed to address challenges in attribution, inference, testing, and optimization. The candidate can fully leverage the cutting-edge features and capabilities of these technologies to generate broader and deeper insights that are not immediately apparent while accounting for the challenges of an ever-changing marketing ecosystem. While being a deep expert in advanced analytics, the successful candidate can clearly convey these insights to a broad audience to enact performant marketing campaigns.

To qualify, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the Canada.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly into the Senior Director, Data, Analytics & Insights to contribute advanced analytics solutions as part of NP Digital’s Data, Analytics and Insights team of specialized experts in measurement strategy, data visualization & dashboards, analytics (digital, marketing), and other data services
  • Consultant and collaborate with clients, managers and strategists across CRO, SEO, Content, Paid Media and other marketing experts for how best to incorporate advanced analytics in marketing strategy and execution
  • Own and execute advanced analytics initiatives such as causal inference, attribution modeling and analysis,experiment design ,time series forecasting, target setting and evaluation, lead quality evaluation, and advanced analytics consultation that aligns with marketing efforts
  • Plan and conduct periodic advanced analytics analyses that drive marketing performance results and inform future strategies and tactics with consumer insight.
  • Synthesize findings and present insights to executive stakeholders so that they quickly understand the deeper patterns, trends or impact of their cross-channel marketing across programs, products, and objectives
  • Leverage and extend our data technology stack, partners, and vendors to quickly and thoroughly address advanced analytics needed beyond our routine reporting and analysis
  • Identify data opportunities and gaps in data maturity, processes, and tools that canenhanceand future-proof advanced insight capabilities and infrastructure including the use of AI and Generative AI.
  • Establish standards on advanced analytics deliverables. Mentor and train the agency and clients on what advanced insights deliverables are available,their value to the business, and how to leverage them to drive performance marketing campaigns.

  • You understand that advanced analytics are an ongoing aspect of engaging with clients and addressing their business needs: you seek to deliver value not just execute on deliverables.
  • As a strategist, you balance priorities that account for both immediate and long-term needs while keeping the holistic perspective in mind.
  • As an analyst, grounded in digital marketing and analytics, you understand how to analyze and interpret data given variability in attribution, data collection and seasonality to find meaningful, broader patterns beyond silos.
  • You can work with data efficiently and execute workflows that require diving into the details, handling complex data, and consistently reproducing results.

ABOUT YOUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive years in a digital marketing agency setting with hands-on experience in advanced insights such as multi-touch attribution, time series forecasting, evaluation of lead quality, target setting, marketing mix modeling, experimental design
  • Experience leading and executing advanced insights projects for well-known, enterprise level brands that entail collaborating cross-functionally with marketers, business stakeholders, vendors, engineers, and data scientists
  • Business writing skills and visual communication to be able to report advanced insights to business stakeholders fitting different mediums: written reports with references, slides, and customized charts leveraging strong data story-telling principles and skills
  • Expertise with SQL, Python,R and Regex is required
  • Proficiency with SQL databases such as BigQuery
  • Expertise with MMM platforms or comparable opensource libraries
  • Expertise with MTA platforms or MTA capabilities within marketing or digital analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with testing or incrementality platforms
  • Proficiency with ad platforms(broadly from Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, Reddit with required experience in Campaign Manager 360) and digital analytics (Google Analytics or similar)
  • BS degree, preferably in a quantitative subject that includes coursework in statistics, human computer interaction, data visualization, cognitive science, or computer science science/engineering
  • Familiarity with generative AI platforms and their contribution to data work
  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, or other Email/CRM Marketing technologies is a plus

ABOUT THE COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: CAD $135,000.00 to $160,000.00; depending on experience and skills
