About the role
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director, Integrated Planning & Effectiveness (IP & E) leads development of budget packages and manages all phases of operating and capital budgeting, including quarterly forecasting. Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, aligning plans with strategic priorities, preparing reports and variance analyses for presentation to senior leadership, and developing dashboards and metrics to support decision-making. This role also handles ad hoc financial analysis, historical data review, and customized reporting. Additional duties include mentoring and growing the IP & E team, promoting financial literacy through training, and collaborating with the Accounting team, internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely completion of tasks. The Director, IP&E drives process efficiencies, system improvements, automation, and policy development, while supporting engagement, change management, and safe work practices, along with other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline, along with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role as well as supervisory experience overseeing accounting functions. A combination of education and experience may be considered. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong asset. Experience working within a post-secondary environment is preferred.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and support staff effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders. The role requires a high level of organizational ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should also be adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Salary: Managers & Professional Officers MPO -VII, $125,779.00
