Senior Quality Assurance Representative

We are currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Representative who specializes in Rolling Stock Vehicle Design, Modification, Manufacturing and Refurbishment to join the Rail and Transit TPO in Thunder Bay ON, providing Full Time Onsite Support and Quality Assurance Representation at the Project Level, for AtkinsRéalis clients.

Your role within the team:

  • Witness and verify Testing as required, including Conducting in-Production Inspections and Verifying Completion of repairs.
  • Complete, Report and sign off on vehicles for Incoming inspection, Milestone completion and Preliminary Acceptance as required.
  • Maintain up to date files as pertains to the contract, which include action logs for change orders, Extra Work, copies of required contractor’s generated reports and Submitting Weekly Reports of all QAR Activities Coordinated Free-Issue Material Distribution to/from the contractor in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Identify and communicate immediately any production, technical or quality assurance discrepancies observed, including maintaining a detailed inspection report outlining any deficiency on a passenger Rail Car on a per car basis.
  • Oversee, Ensure and report on contract compliance on behalf of the Client by Identifying, developing and monitoring KPIs to Track the refurbishment contractor's progress and performance, and provide project related presentations as required.
  • Represent the Client by participating in production progress, planning, quality control, and design review meetings.
  • Monitor and audit the supplier’s Quality Assurance Processes, while Supporting Quality Assurance efforts and initiatives by providing quality related insight, which Include developing acceptance criteria for inspection purposes.
  • Record and communicate a periodic review of the work performed by the supplier, which includes completed work, work in progress, upcoming work, quality of completed work, additional work, inspections and/or tests, and problems as well as any critical comments on the work and changes made to the cars.

The ideal candidate:

  • 10+ years’ experiences in Rail and Transit industry.
  • 5+ years experiences in Quality Control/Assurance.
  • 5 years’ experiences in Rolling Stock Vehicle Manufacturing and Refurbishment.
  • Have thorough understanding of Rolling Stock Vehicles electrically and mechanically.
  • With a strong QA mindset and being able to communicate effectively; seeks to understand and delivers key messages to stakeholders.
