Position Summary

The Data Analyst - Data Governance will play an important role in supporting SteriMax’s data governance, master data management, and analytics initiatives. This is an entry-level position suited for individuals who are passionate about business processes, data quality, and technology-driven solutions.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, this individual will analyze, maintain, and document master data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance across multiple systems. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to building a robust data governance foundation.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management & Process Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and maintain master data cross systems, such as Dot Compliance, SAP, SQL Server, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, loading, and modeling to support high-quality, reliable, and actionable business insights.
  • Document, load and validate master data as part of the New Product Launch (NPL) process, ensuring compliance with GMP and other regulatory requirements.

Data Governance & Documentation

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance processes, SOPs, and a centralized data catalog.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across business workflows by documenting processes, definitions, and standards.

Automation & Workflow Optimization

  • Develop and maintain automated workflows and tools using advanced Excel or VBA to improve efficiency and streamline business processes.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance data quality and analytics capabilities.

Continuous Learning & Innovation

  • Stay informed on emerging data and analytics technologies, industry best practices, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Expand knowledge of business processes across supply chain, quality management, commercial, and sales functions while ensuring GxP compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Currently completing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Operations, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decisions or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting methodologies, including logical and physical data modeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document SOPs, workflows, and process maps.
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel and other MS office Apps.

Preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in roles involving data, analytics, or business processes.
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Exposure to SQL Server or other database environments.
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of GxP-compliant processes within pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
