About The Position RWDI’s Guelph office is seeking an individual to join its Facilities team as a Facilities Coordinator. The Role Includes But Is Not Limited To
- Manage facilities requests through the ticketing system and ensure timely resolution
- Coordinate building maintenance and repairs, including custodial services, deliveries, security systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, vehicles, and equipment
- Oversee acquisition and distribution of office and breakroom supplies.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs (e.g., light bulb changes, snow/ice clearing, cable tray installations, drain unclogging)
- Assist with office moves, workspace set-ups, and personnel relocations.
- Maintain facility databases, including vendor contacts, lease details, and related records
- Conduct facility safety and security inspections (e.g., fire systems, HVAC, seasonal maintenance) and follow up on findings
- Partner with IT to coordinate workstation moves, data cabling, and AV equipment setup
- Manage shipping, receiving, and delivery logistics
- Welcome visitors and provide staff notifications as needed
- Operate forklift for facility and warehouse needs
We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with some related work experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous facility maintenance, shipping/receiving, and/or warehouse experience in a dynamic work environment
- Experience in administrative tasks and working with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on/mechanical aptitude and general “handy” skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Assets: Training in forklift operation, working at heights, ladder safety, fall arrest, and/or lift truck operation
