Position Purpose
Ensuring the safety of guests as you assist them getting on and off the lift. Maintaining the overall operation of the lift including snow removal as required. Assisting with toboggan patrol and janitorial duties as required. For full details, please see attached job description.
Minimum Qualifications

You must provide your own personal equipment: boots, layering clothes, eyewear, hats, gloves and snow pants etc. Jacket will be provided by the Corporation.

Ability to think quickly in an emergency;

Ability to interact and converse intelligently with guests and other employees;

Good manual and physical dexterity skills;

Ability to work in and withstand severe cold and adverse weather conditions;

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication and customer service skills;

Position Summary
Ensuring the safety of guests as you assist them getting on and off the lift. Maintaining the overall operation of the lift including snow removal as required. Assisting with toboggan patrol and janitorial duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Performs proper loading and unloading techniques, ensuring special attention is given to beginners, children and those with disabilities;
- Provides physical assistance to guests as required;
- Ensures lift users are displaying valid lift ticket and maintains orderly crowd control in lift mazes;
- Gives verbal instructions to lift users on loading and unloading;
- Ensures that guests are using/wearing the proper gear/equipment;
- Is aware of and is able to provide timely and accurate information concerning slope conditions, area activities and other related information intended to help the guest enjoy their stay;
- Politely gives verbal warnings to lift users who do not abide by the Rules of Conduct in the loading and unloading areas as well as on the lift;
- Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times;
- Sets and maintains lift mazes, ramps, signs and surface lift tracks;
- Calls for assistance in either lift malfunction or guest difficulty situations;
- Assists as parking attendant/traffic control as required;
- Picks up trash in parking areas, around buildings and on the slopes;
- Participates in lift evacuation training exercise and actual lift evacuations if necessary;
- Shovels snow and continuously maintains the condition of lift operations when required;
- Performs other related duties that may occur in an unplanned or emergency situation;
- Performs carpet lift stoppage if unsafe conditions occur;
- Communicates and reports all lift incidents/hazards/issues to supervisor;
- Conducts toboggan patrol as required;
- Ensures cleanliness of common areas, picks up debris, empties trash containers and keeps entire facility trash and litter free;
- Maintains restrooms including washing sinks, floors, emptying trash cans, cleaning toilets and stalls, picking up litter, and ensuring adequate stock of restroom provisions as required;
- Sweeps, mops, washes, polishes floors; washes windows; walls, fixtures & appliances; vacuums carpeting & dusts surrounding areas as required;
- Participate in the Town's Health and Safety Program and follow safety practices in work methods and procedures; observes and complies with all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
