We're seeking a dedicated Volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Directors The Veterans Association is seeking a dedicated and experienced Volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Directors and help guide our financial stewardship as we expand support for veterans across Western Canada. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your financial expertise to a mission-driven organization focused on improving the lives of veterans and their families.

About the Role As Treasurer, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the organization, ensuring strong governance, transparency, and accountability. You will work closely with the Board and leadership team to support strategic decision-making and stewardship of funds.

Key Responsibilities: Provide financial oversight and reporting to the Board Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements Advise on financial strategy and risk management Collaborate with leadership to maximize impact of veteran support programs

This role reports directly to Chris Lefaivre, Volunteer Chairman of the Board, and contributes to advancing initiatives that support veterans across Western Canada.

Ideal Candidate: Background in finance, accounting, or related field (CPA preferred) Previous board or governance experience an asset Passion for supporting veterans and community impact Strong integrity, judgment, and communication skills
