About the role
Overview We are seeking a talented and personable Hairstylist to join our vibrant children salon team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity and passion for hair styling while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling, sanitation, and retail sales, with excellent communication skills to build lasting client relationships. As a key member of our team, you will help create a welcoming environment where clients feel valued and inspired. You must be patient with children since our clients are mostly kids all ages.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, fade, braids, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Assist clients with product recommendations and upselling to enhance their salon experience
- Deliver outstanding customer service by actively listening to client needs and offering personalized solutions
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Foster a friendly and professional atmosphere to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon products through ongoing education
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently without being pushy
- Prior experience in retail sales or front desk operations is a plus
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Valid cosmetology license or relevant certification as required by regulations
