JOB TITLE: ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (SYSTEMS INTEGRATION & FIELD SUPPORT)

Company: Air Power Products Limited Job Type: Full Time About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Electro-Mechanical Technician who thrives on working with complex systems and takes pride in bringing industrial equipment to life. This role involves mechanical integration and assembly of systems such as air compressors, twin tower heatless and heated air dryers, blowers and vacuum pumps, conducting system integration, conducting performance testing, and participating in field service and support. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams and have the opportunity to gain experience in both in-house fabrication & integration and field service environments. Ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is mechanically inclined, and is looking to learn and grow within a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly and integration of industrial equipment such as air compressors, dryers, blowers & more.
- Testing equipment in-house as per detailed company procedures and quality standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting and field servicing of machines at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on installed systems.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly and service procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and production staff.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical work.
- Experience with industrial equipment such as compressors, dryers, blowers & vacuum pumps is a strong asset.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings (P&ID and GAD) and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to travel for field service assignments as needed.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.
- Self-motivated, team oriented, and reliable.
Qualifications
- Post secondary diploma or certificate in electro-mechanical engineering technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of industrial experience is preferred (but not mandatory if you have the right attitude and aptitude).
- Valid driver’s license.

About AIR POWER PRODUCTS LIMITED
Air Power Products Limited was founded in 1980. The company started as a distributor for air compressors, compressed air dryers, blowers and vacuum pumps. In 1981, we started assembling small air compressors, mostly for the fire protection industry. Our major customers in that industry who began purchasing from us back at that time, are still customers today. In 1983, APPL built our first twintower heatless desiccant air dryer. Over the years our dryer product line has evolved to include heated blower purge models, and control systems including our highly efficient "Purge Economizer Control$" which is a dew point-based control system for both new dryers and as retrofit panels for competitive models. Dew Point monitors for stand-alone applications are also manufactured by APPL. Regenerative blowers which have been a major product line for us since inception. APPL carries inventory of several hundred regenerative blower in both single and 2-stage models, and in varying voltages, which are readily available for shipment to any location in North America and beyond. In the early 2000's, APPL became a stocking distributor for Swan oil-less air compressors, and today carries a large inventory of pumps for quick delivery of systems for pharmaceutical, laboratory, food processing, and medical systems. We have in-house design capability for all systems including electrical control systems for customized requirements. Also included in our product line are lubricated and oil-less vacuum pumps for incorporation into design built systems. Rotary lobe blowers were added to our product line in 2005 to complement our offering of regenerative blowers.
