About the role

Mainroad North Island Contracting LP is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Road Foreman. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of Foreman duties including, organizing, scheduling, assigning and coordinate the work of a Road Crew. If you are passionate about making a difference with your work and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is the opportunity for you!

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • Class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract is required.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in road maintenance is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.

Performance Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work shifts (including night shift, if required)
  • Ability to work call-outs, weekends and overtime, if required
  • Willing to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Capable of performing heavy physical labour
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Dedicated and committed
