About the role
Mainroad North Island Contracting LP is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Road Foreman. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of Foreman duties including, organizing, scheduling, assigning and coordinate the work of a Road Crew. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Five (5) years’ experience in road maintenance is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.
Performance Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work shifts (including night shift, if required)
- Ability to work call-outs, weekends and overtime, if required
- Willing to work in extreme weather conditions
- Capable of performing heavy physical labour
- Able to work within a team environment
- Dedicated and committed
