The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $19.00 - $23.00/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. Please note that this is a fixed term for one (1) year. Your Role:
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
- Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
- Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
- Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
- Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
About You:
- Registered as a Dental Assistant with the NFLD regulatory body is required
- NDAEB Certification is required
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
