Responsibilities:

What your days will look like as a Planning Superintendent:

• Coordinate the loading and unloading operations of ships, railways, and terminal operations, while optimizing the use of available equipment and workforce;
• Coordinate operations with a focus on safety, productivity, and quality;
• Report any issues raised during the shift to the appropriate level of management;
• Ensure terminal directives are followed at all times;
• Ensure that plans and strategies are effectively communicated to the team members;
• Support the completion of accident investigations and analysis, and help maintain a healthy and safe work environment;
• Participate in continuous improvement projects within the operations department.

Qualifications:

To succeed as a Planning Superintendent, you must have:

• Experience in lashing, container handling, or the maritime industry (asset);
• Experience in transportation logistics (asset);
• College diploma in a relevant field;
• Bilingualism – written and spoken (French and English) – Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan-Canadian, and international clients and partners, proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, is required;
• Availability to work varying shifts including day/evening/night and weekends;
• Ability to demonstrate autonomy, teamwork, flexibility, and judgment;
• Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
