Ministry Overview
The Finance team provides expert financial advice and services in all accounting and financial matters to the organization. We celebrate excellence as we support over 9 ministries and other operations departments within P2C. The finance team ensures that proper accountability, financial integrity, resources optimization, internal controls and compliance have been achieved all the time across the organization.
We are also a collaborative, caring, celebratory and prayerful team.
Position Overview
This is a part-time position and have potential to be full time. It is required a will to learn and handle pressure well.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:
- Reconcile various bank accounts on a daily / monthly basis by compiling and balancing financial information.
- Prepare and post accounting entries for bank transactions.
- Serve as a backup for accounts payable clerk.
- Process financial entries to ensure accurate recording of all business transactions in compliance with accounting policies.
- Maintaining, updating and organize financial documentation for audit readiness and internal use.
- Perform other accounting tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller.
Other Responsibilities
- Active participation in weekly chapel services and other ministry prayer / bible study times.
- Attendance and participation in the bi-annual International Day of Prayer.
- Special projects as assigned by the Financial Controller

- You have the ability to quickly learn and use new software.
- You are self-motivated and results driven with a preference for a fast-paced dynamic environments.
- You have demonstrated strong prioritization, time management and project management skills
Education and Experience
- College diploma in accounting or equivalent experience
- Experience in customer services
- Prior experience working with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar program considered an asset
- Experience with Dayforce HCM or similar program considered an asset
