Guru Studio's dedicated team is passionate about bringing inspired character driven stories to screens around the world. Our award winning and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company is looking for a Junior Desktop Technician who is responsible for providing administrative and project management support to a busy IT team.
Duties and Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
- Reporting directly to the Director of IT, (Your “Supervisor”);
- Required to be in studio every day Tier 1 support
- Provide first line support for Windows Workstations
- Monitor the department ticketing system
- Thin client and remote desktop environments
- VPN connectivity issues
- Software troubleshooting
- Escalate complex issues appropriately
- Printer connectivity
Workstation and User Support:
- Provision and deploy software to end user workstations
- Assemble and setup physical workstations for end users
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding user accounts
- Maintain accurate asset inventory tracking
Hardware & Infrastructure Assistance:
- Assist with network switch patching, cable management and hardware swaps
- Support workstation moves and physical setup across sites
Documentation:
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions
- Update internal knowledgebase
- Maintain accurate ticket records
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years IT support
- Strong troubleshooting mindset
- Familiarity with Windows, basic networking concepts(IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware components
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users
- Strong organizational skills
Desirable but not Essential:
- Exposure to Linux, Virtualization platforms, Ticketing systems, basic scripting
- CompTIA A+ or similar

Contract duration:
Fixed-term contract ending December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Expected compensation: $40, 000 to $45, 000, depending on experience and role requirements.
