About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, operationalizing, securing, and monitoring data pipelines and data stores. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work with technologies such as Snowflake, Matillion/Matillion DPC, dbt, Amazon AWS, other external data sources, and Open-Source tools (Apache Kafka, Apache Spark)

Your day to day:

  • Design and implement data pipelines and data stores to acquire and prepare data

  • Apply data engineering standards and tools to create and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.

  • Perform routine data quality checks and remediation.

  • Ensure appropriate storage of data in line with relevant legislation and organizational policies.

  • Build-in security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility, and portability into data solutions.

  • Collaborate with Data Solution Architects from Global, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data architectural requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance the data engineering function.

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and data stores.

Who we're looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or similar role.

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification). [RS1]

  • Experience with machine learning and data mining techniques.

  • Familiarity with data governance and data management best practices to ensure data quality and compliance.

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Experience in domains such as Finance, Consumer, Commercial, P&C, Supply Chain, Product, and Life Sciences.

  • System knowledge in Salesforce, DCE (Digital Consumer Engagement), ERP, and Finance Systems.

Domain Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in B2B and B2C domains, with a proven ability to drive data initiatives in fast-paced, agile environments.
