About the role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, operationalizing, securing, and monitoring data pipelines and data stores. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work with technologies such as Snowflake, Matillion/Matillion DPC, dbt, Amazon AWS, other external data sources, and Open-Source tools (Apache Kafka, Apache Spark)
Your day to day:

Design and implement data pipelines and data stores to acquire and prepare data

Apply data engineering standards and tools to create and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.

Perform routine data quality checks and remediation.

Ensure appropriate storage of data in line with relevant legislation and organizational policies.

Build-in security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility, and portability into data solutions.

Collaborate with Data Solution Architects from Global, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data architectural requirements and deliver solutions.

Collaborate with global teams to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance the data engineering function.

Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and data stores.
Who we're looking for:

Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
-
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
-
Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification). [RS1]
-
Experience with machine learning and data mining techniques.
-
Familiarity with data governance and data management best practices to ensure data quality and compliance.
-
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
-
Experience in domains such as Finance, Consumer, Commercial, P&C, Supply Chain, Product, and Life Sciences.
-
System knowledge in Salesforce, DCE (Digital Consumer Engagement), ERP, and Finance Systems.
Domain Experience:
- Demonstrated success in B2B and B2C domains, with a proven ability to drive data initiatives in fast-paced, agile environments.
