We're looking for an Operations & Talent Coordinator to join the AI Garage team on a 1-year contract (with possibility of extension). This is not your typical operations role-you'll work side by side with visionary entrepreneurs, industry experts, and a team that thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and big ideas.
What You'll Do
- Keep us running smooth: Support day-to-day operations of the AI Garage and make sure processes are efficient and effective.
- Talent & people focus: Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and team support, ensuring the Garage is a place where people thrive.
- Bridge builder: Work closely with Genesis core staff to integrate Garage systems, processes, and reporting.
- Access & logistics: Manage things like access cards and team resources.
- Collaborator: Support project coordination, events, and other activities that keep the Garage buzzing.
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary graduate with strong organizational and people skills (startup or nonprofit experience a plus!).
- Skilled in coordination-keeping things on track, solving problems, and supporting people.
- Knowledge of HR processes, payroll, recruitment, and employee engagement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) and strong computer skills.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp) is an asset.
- Great communicator who can work across teams and share info clearly.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and isn't afraid to take initiative.
- Based in Newfoundland and Labrador, legally permitted to work in Canada.
