About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures

continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,

understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.

Reporting to the Manager Facilities & Biomedical Services and Coordinators (Physical Plant and Mechanical,

Electrical, Controls and Systems), this position is responsible for providing leadership for the operation, maintenance

and monitoring of all electrical equipment, services and systems for the hospital and on the Hospital grounds

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

*Valid Inter Provincial Certificate of Qualifications & Ontario College of Trades (current) ¡V Electrician ¡V

Construction and Maintenance.

*Minimum of five years experience in the maintenance and operation of building electrical and automation

systems.

Skills/Abilities:

*Demonstrated technical and maintenance skills in regards to plant operation and maintenance.

*Knowledge of all applicable requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

*Demonstrated preventative maintenance planning and CMMS skills.

*Proven ability to exhibit a courteous and professional manner when interacting with colleagues, staff,

patients and visitors.

Assets:

*Current Emergency First Aid and C.P.R. Certification.

*TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) IMT (Industrial Maintenance Technician) Certificate.

Salary Range: $38.860
