The Opportunity
The firm is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist, Hydrogeologist, or Engineer with strong technical expertise and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), hydrogeological assessments, and/or private site servicing. This role requires excellent technical reporting skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare clear, accurate, and well-written technical proposals and reports
Coordinate and execute investigative programs, including fieldwork as required
Support multiple technical disciplines and demonstrate a willingness to expand areas of expertise
Mentor junior staff while actively engaging in mentorship from senior professionals to support career development
Qualifications Servicing
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sewage and water system design and approvals
- Demonstrated knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC) and MECP design guidelines for sewage/ drinking water systems
- Experience preparing Engineer's Evaluation Reports for water systems
- Experience preparing engineering septic designs, calculations and drawings
- Ability to prepare and submit MECP approval applications and supporting documentation
- Experience liaising with MECP, municipalities, and other authorities having jurisdiction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Contaminant / ESA/ RSC (highest Priority)
- Preparation of Phase I/II and One/Two Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) proposals and reports under the supervision of senior staff, in accordance with both CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 standards.
- Co-ordination of Phase II ESA field programs, including locate requests, field scheduling, contractor retention, and field note review and filing.
- Consistent attention to detail, exemplary organizational skills, and ability to clearly communicate within a team setting.
