Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our growing fabrication team. In this role you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient setup and operation of CNC and manual brake presses. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC and manual brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders to determine machine setup, material type, and required dimensions. Select, install, and adjust tooling, dies, back gauges and machine settings to achieve accurate part production. Inspect parts to verify dimensions using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Monitor machine operation and adjust as needed to maintain quality, efficiency and consistent output. Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning equipment, lubricating components, and reporting mechanical issues Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading, unloading, and organizing metal sheets or components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and common areas Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Collaborate with Supervisors, and team members to support production goals and resolve issues. All other duties as assigned Experience & Qualifications: Required: Previous experience operating manual and CNC brake presses or related fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Proficiency with hand tools, grinders, and measurement devices. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding work. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining a clean workspace. Assets: Training or certification in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing technology. Experience with CNC brake press programming.
