Position Summary The Body Shop (Collision Repair) Technician is a mechanically skilled individual whose primary responsibility is to complete the appropriate repairs and/or replacement of parts and structures of customers' vehicles. The Body Shop Technician works closely with the Collision Estimator to ensure that customer vehicles are repaired properly and in the most time-efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities Dismantle and inspect vehicles to diagnose external and internal damage Replace damaged parts Repair or replace welded panels Frame repairs Maintain a safe working environment by following all regulations, standards, and policies
Technical Skills & Requirements Strong attention to detail Valid Red Seal certification preferred or completion of the third year in the Apprentice Training program Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive collision repairs Valid BC driver’s license required Ability to properly lift up to 18 kg (40 lbs) regularly Commitment to continuous learning to update industry knowledge
Logistical Requirements This is a full-time position available at Dueck on Marine location. On occasions, employees may be requested to work extended hours, including weekends, in order to meet deadlines based on the needs of the business.
