Position: Tech Lead Java/Python Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 10+ Years
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – Java/Python to lead the design and implementation of secure application integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java/Python development, API integration, and application security, with hands-on experience integrating code scanning tools and automating vulnerability remediation across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities: · Lead the design and implementation of Java/Python-based integration solutions. · Integrate code scanning and security tools into CI/CD pipelines. · Develop automation for vulnerability remediation and compliance. · Design and implement REST API integrations with enterprise applications. · Collaborate with security, DevOps, and development teams to enhance application security. · Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to development teams. · Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize application performance.
Required Skills: · 10+ years of experience in Java and/or Python development. · Strong experience with REST APIs and application integration. · Hands-on experience with code scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fortify, Veracode, Snyk, or similar). · Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. · Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security. · Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have: · Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). · Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. · Exposure to DevSecOps practices and automation frameworks.
