##Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Prosecutions & APS, the Prosecution Clerk will assist the Legal Assistants and Filing Clerk with their day-to-day duties.

##Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sorting and filing of Part III Briefs

  • Prepare and file Part III tracking sheets

  • Attend customer service window

  • Respond to customer inquiries

  • Conduct ICON searches to respond to inquiries and determine case status

  • Use the Court Administration Management System (CAMS) for e-filing of documents and correspondence

  • Break and lunch office coverage

  • Scan completed Prosecution Briefs into CAMS

  • Assist in preparing hard copy dockets for Part II and Part III tiers

  • Assist with Part II brief preparation

  • Assist Legal Assistants with docket preparation in CAMS

  • Sort and file hard copy correspondence and documents into Part III Prosecution Briefs

  • Scan returned mail into CAMS to appropriate file

##Skills and Qualifications

  • Secondary School diploma
  • Strong customer service
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with City staff, the Judiciary, legal representatives, internal and external enforcement agencies and members of the public
  • Experience using CAMS is preferred
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Conflict resolution skills to assist in interactions with difficult customers
  • Light lifting

Hourly Rate/Salary: 18.69 - 22.25
Hours of Work: up to 21 hours
Work Location: Civic Centre
Hybrid Workplace (For full-time permanent and temporary positions)
