About the role
This role is focused on designing, building, and enhancing robust software systems for US-based clients. You will take ownership of complex features, backend services, APIs, databases, and integrations, guiding projects from initial requirements through release and ongoing maintenance. The position requires a strong foundation in software engineering, hands-on experience with modern web applications, and the ability to architect secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. Experience in privacy-sensitive sectors or SaaS platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex software features and backend services Architect and implement APIs, databases, and integrations for production applications Improve and maintain existing systems, ensuring reliability and scalability Guide implementation quality and enforce secure coding practices Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions Oversee deployment and long-term maintenance of software systems Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies
Skills And Requirements
Proven experience as a software engineer working on modern web applications and backend systems Proficiency in Python and Java for backend development Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns and system architecture Experience with cloud deployments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Expertise in database design, management, and optimization Familiarity with secure coding practices and privacy-sensitive environments Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Experience with SaaS platforms or healthcare industry is advantageous Availability for full-time contract work, remote
