A Teaching Chef's job duties include demonstrating the proper techniques to prepare food, showing students how to use kitchen equipment, and teaching a variety of recipes. You may also develop lesson plans and collaborate with other teachers.

Fleetwood Park Secondary is in the Newton area of Surrey with approximately 1750 students and growing. This is a dynamic school focused on student-centred engagement and success.

Fleetwood Park Secondary is culturally diverse and inclusive school with extensive program options which include a robust Culinary Arts Program, Humanities 8 & 9 Program, Advanced Placement (AP) options, Theatre and Dance Company, Computer Science Co-Op, Youth Explore Trades Program and Apprenticeship Programs. There is a large Student Leadership Program, a long history of grade 8 retreat, numerous student-led clubs and extracurricular activities and an active Mentorship Program for staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary or Secondary) degree, or equivalent training
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate
  • Red Seal Certification required

Salary range is $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement. Surrey Schools Salary Grid In the event the 2025 Salary Grid is made available the current grid will be updated.
