About the role
Job Description Are you a motivated student looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industrial environment? We are seeking an Industrial Electrical Student to join our Operations and Maintenance team for Summer 2026. This is a great opportunity to develop practical electrical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to the safe and reliable operation of our facility.
As an Industrial Electrical Student, you will work closely with skilled electricians and maintenance personnel to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Duration: May 2026 – August 2026
- Shift: Rotational, 12-hour shifts
- Hourly Wage: $24.30/hr
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues related to machinery and production equipment
- Assist with inspections, testing, and basic electrical installations
- Support electrical upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and report issues to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance team
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Industrial Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment is an asset
- Strong interest in industrial electrical work and manufacturing environments
- Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, safety-focused environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
- Good communication and organizational skills
