First Student is now hiring a Tech in charge for our maintenance facility serving Sarnia ON.

Major Responsibilities
As a Tech in charge, you will lead the maintenance and repair of our school bus fleet while supporting efficient shop operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and support technicians in daily shop activities
- Schedule maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability
- Generate work orders and track progress through completion
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain advanced knowledge of all vehicle systems and components
- Ensure accurate service records and compliance with safety standards
- Monitor shop performance and efficiency, implementing improvements as needed
Qualifications
- 310T Licence
- Strong experience with diesel engines, commercial transport vehicles, or transit buses
- Ownership of a basic mechanic's tool set
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality work, and teamwork
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience considered an asset
