About the Opportunity
Insight Global is seeking a CAD Layout Designer to support the design and development of complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) for advanced hardware products. This role sits at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, high-performance designs. If you have a strong background in PCB layout, high-speed design, and Cadence tools, and enjoy solving complex design challenges in a collaborative environment, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-quality PCB layouts for complex hardware systems Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to meet design requirements Ensure designs meet electrical performance, thermal, and manufacturability constraints Apply high-speed routing methodologies and signal integrity best practices Create and maintain PCB documentation and deliverables Support design reviews and incorporate feedback across interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, CAD, or equivalent 5+ years of hands-on PCB layout and CAD/CAM experience Expertise with Cadence Allegro (and other PCB design tools) Strong understanding of the PCB design lifecycle and deliverables Experience with: High-speed routing methodologies Controlled impedance design (single-ended & differential pairs) Power/ground planes, terminations, and via technologies Board materials and stack-ups EMC/EMI considerations and safety isolation requirements Design for manufacturability (DFM) and test requirements Soft skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills Detail-oriented, focused, and highly organized Proven ability to work effectively in team-based environments
